Saint-Nazaire's peninsula
Saint-Nazaire
Saint-Nazaire is a so-called new town because it was completely destroyed by the bombing during the Second World War. Indeed, this city was occupied by the Germans during a large part of it. The Americans rebuilt the city afterwards, which explains its architecture.
Today, the city is particularly rich historically, particularly with the submarine base.
It's also known thanks to the Atlantic shipyards, which built the largest liner in the world: Symphony of the Sea. Furthermore, you can find the Airbus shipyards which contribute to the image of the city.
Saint-Nazaire is dynamic with many bars, festivals and other events.

Saint-Marc-sur-mer
Saint-Marc is a small town next to Saint Nazaire and the IUT. It's a very quiet place
which allows you to relax while discovering the beautiful coastal landscape.
You can also come to meet the famous "Monsieur Hulot" sculpture, overlooking the main beach in the area.

Pornichet / La Baule / Le Pouliguen
Come and take a walk on the most beautiful seaside of the west coast!
The bay of La Baule is one of the largest and prettiest bays in Europe. At its 2 extremities, Pornichet and Le Pouliguen offer splendid landscapes and absolute tranquillity.
